Tales From the Firelit Gathering (and The Wakeful)

Our new Kickstarter project, Tales From the Firelit Gathering, will launch on February 7th, at 12:00 pm! We’re ecstatic to finally be able to talk about our biggest project to date, and if you want to be there from minute one, you can follow the prelaunch page now!

To wet your appetite for all that Firelit Gathering will have to offer, we have an old favorite, reanimated for your enjoyment; the skeletal Wakeful. Re-ensouled constructs of secondhand bone, the wakeful never sleep and never fully die, as the magic that animates them slowly reassembles even broken or lost bones. Without the fear of death, or the meaty chemicals that make more people so excitable, the peaceful wakeful can devote their indefinite lifespan to whatever they fancy, whether it be spellcraft, swordplay, or, who knows, silversmithing. Just be careful; it’s easy to lose track of time after 400 (500?) consecutive all-nighters whittling the perfect life-sized finch.

Firelit Gathering will be full of these sorts of unusual perspectives. 5th edition is full of gaps, both mechanically and narratively, and we are crafting this project to be all about the kinds of characters and options that official content so often ignores. This focus will mean unconventional subclasses, feats for underserved players and playstyles, and character generation tools designed to include as many people as possible; and we’ll be previewing all of that and more leading up top and throughout the Kickstarter campaign!
