Nature mages have a reputation, deserved or not, for placid neutrality, but nature is hardly a calm companion. We don’t compare things to a ‘force of nature’ because of how peaceful they are; for every tranquil grove or serene mountain valley, there are typhoons, hurricanes, volcanoes, and all manner of other violent, unpredictable forms of nature. To channel such destructive phenomenon, we’ll need a druidic mage just as unpredictably violent.

The Primal Sentry is just that mage, a barbarian who turns their mortal rage and the rage of nature into one and the same, casting powerful druid spells as part of their rages. For the class that normally can’t cast, we thought it right to give them a style of casting all their own.
