They say you can domesticate anything ‘shaped like a friend’, but what does that mean? Dogs are friend-shaped, or so we assume, since they were domesticated, but not bears or wolves? Those are basically the same shape. In the end, we are forced to admit that a friend is indeterminately shaped.

The Ooze Rancher took this admission as inspiration. “I will tame the most indeterminately shaped of all friends,” he says, and now he brings his trusty slime companion with him wherever he goes. Why limit your next summoner to the claws or wings of normal beasts, when now you can call upon the perfectly-uniform consistency of a soup that wants to eat you too?
